Went to a few sessions for couples counselling with my partner and we both thought the sessions had red flags. My partner and I talk about what we wanted to work on together prior to our sessions and we would bring it up multiple times during the sessions with Rui but they were never addressed. The discussions always lead to things that were absolutely unrelated to what we’re worried about in the relationship. We felt we were being talked at by Rui and misunderstood/misconstrued. After multiple sessions, we still have not addressed what we came in for. For our last session, we were both left crying at the end because of lots of miscommunication, feeling misunderstood, and feeling unsafe in the therapeutic relationship. The sessions felt like they did more harm than good
