I am very disappointed with the lack of service/compassion I received from Heritage Funeral Home. My son and only child committed suicide and as his caregiver (he lived with me) I contacted Heritage in order to obtain his death certificate so I could begin to fulfil the requests he made in the note he left (he did not have a legal will.) I was stunned at the roadblocks that Heritage Funeral Home put up – denying me a copy of the death certificate at the request of my ex husband, and sending me on a runaround to Service Ontario in order to obtain one – all at the time when I am experiencing the most gut-wrenching pain imaginable. I still do not have a copy of the death certificate. Heritage has not shown any compassion or respect to me and has only made a horrible situation even worse - I would NEVER recommend them to anyone.
